WHAT’S COOKING
Be sure and tune into WBKR 92.5 every 4th Monday of the month for the What’s Cooking segment with Chad and Angel! Katie Alexander, Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent talks with Chad and Angel about a healthy and delicious recipe in the SNAP calendar every 4th Monday at 8:10am! Be sure to tune in September 24, Sharayha Clingenpeel, our newest 4-H agent will be filling in!

HOMEMAKER MEMBERSHIP
Do you want to give a Daviess County Extension Homemaker Membership as a gift? You can! Just fill out the form and let us know and we will be glad to type up a “gift certificate” for you to gift your loved one.
If you are not a current Daviess County Extension Homemaker and would like to join, either as a club member or a Mailbox member, you can fill out the enclosed enrollment form and either mail it back or drop off to the Daviess County Extension Office, 4800A New Hartford Rd. Owensboro, KY 42303 by October 21st.

ESTATE PLANNING WORKSHOPS
The workshops will be held November 10th  and 15th at 6:00pm at the Daviess County Extension Office. It is highly encouraged to attend both workshops.
Please call to RSVP so we can plan the meals accordingly.

Lesson Leader Training
The September and October Homemaker lesson leader training was held August 18th with great participation! The September lesson is Outdoor Cooking and the October lesson is Types of Scams. I hope your clubs enjoy the lessons and information!
The next Homemaker lesson leader training will be Tuesday, October 18 at the Daviess County Extension Office and Wednesday, October 19 at Henderson County Extension Office.
November Lesson at 10:00am: Savor the Flavor: Cooking with Oils and Vinegars
January Lesson at 11:00am: Move Your Way: Exercise for Everyone

HOMEMAKER FUN
Anita Bruner, County President, put together a fun scavenger hunt for the Homemaker members on August 18 after the officer/chairman training and before the council meeting.
The winner was Peggy Stemle!
