2024 ISSUES CONFERENCE
Three Daviess County teens attended 4-H Issues Conference at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park November 14-16.
The teens worked with an action group of their choice to define a problem within a fictional community and come up with their solution. They developed an action plan and budget. Action group presentations were made before the entire conference and a panel of judges, who critiqued the plans and then granted awards from a fictional budget.
The keynote speaker for the weekend was Cumberland County Judge Executive, Luke King, who is the 2nd youngest County Judge Executive in Kentucky. They also learned more about county government, public speaking, and the process for planning and implementing community projects.
